Multi-Center Report on adult patients who underwent autologous stem cell therapy for orthopaedic conditions!

This report, by Christopher J. Centeno MD, et al examines the complications reported from 2,372 orthopaedic patients treated with stem cell injections who were followed in a treatment registry for up to nine years. “There were a total of 3,012 procedures performed on this group of patients, with a total of 325 adverse events reported. The majority were pain post-procedure (n=93, 3.9% of the study population) and pain due to progressive degenerative joint disease (n=90, 3.8% of the study population).” The report was published in International Orthopaedics in March 2016.
